Requires Expansion Pack: Yes Artist: Within the Ruins Comments: 1) this preset was made on studio headphones, which is what i use for everything i make. it generally translates fairly well to other full range speakers. in other words, if you play the sound clip first, then this preset on the same speaker...it should sound pretty close. 2) pickup tuning; use the tube screamer tone control to tune your pickups to sound right. adjust the output to make the gain/distortion right. 3) if you really like the open wah midrange tone going on during the song when both guitars kick in, turn on fx2 eq. it's just a mid boost eq i set up. when both guitars kick in, they get a little cancellation and that one notched mid frequency becomes prominent. use this preset as a starting point to get the sound you are looking for. this is a Djent starting point in general. |

I've used this patch with a American Telecatser deluxe and a Gibson Melody Maker through a Bose L1 with excellent results IMHO;) |

Requires Expansion Pack: Yes Artist: Mark Wood Comments: Tons of sustain for feedback, wammy bar dives, synthy sustaining leads...this is actually an older one I had sitting around that I finally put the finishing touches on. The closest thing I can think of is like the Mark Wood electric violin solo he did on a Guitar album compilation, but you could play Madonna's "Take my breath away" synth section with a cool guitar tone instead or . Tapping is pretty cool sounding. Overdid the verb and delay on purpose for a really out of this world rack gear kind of effect. |
