Requires Expansion Pack: No Artist: U2 / The Edge Comments: Here's a patch I did trying to cop some Edge'ness and the U2 song "Bad" with the AC amp and believe it or not a TOUCH of the "RATT" distortion pedal to get a little bite that I couldn't get to my liking with the amp itself. I still wish I could get some of that sweet Edge shimmer on the delays... ahem... digidesign... hint hint... :) Enjoy! |

Requires Expansion Pack: No Artist: U2 Comments: Ok so I did a U2 Bad preset a LONG time ago before I had my strat and have reworked it. It's a LITTLE cleaner than the actual track and has little more "shimmer" but it's closer to how the Edge sounds live now -vs- the original track so it's a bit of a hybrid but sounds really nice. You can pull the delay chorus back a bit if you don't want the shimmer and I also found that adding the blackop distortion with just a LITTLE gain sounds pretty cool too as opposed to increasing the gain on the amp which works too. Anyway - as usual here's an mp3 of the preset: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=1036380&songID=9483534 So ALSO you can take this same preset and change the delay setting to about 365ms and you then have a "Where the Streets Have No Name" preset that works really well for that song.
