Pickup Position: Bridge
Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: No Artist: Zakk Wylde (pre BLS) Comments: This is my first public attempt to share a tone I've whipped together. The tone I was after was an early Zakk Wylde. No Rest for the Wicked style. This would be before he added his signature Rotovibe to the mix. This is back when he used a simple JCM800, Boss SD1 OD, and a Boss Chorus. The setup is simple. I subbed the Green JRC Overdrive in place of the SD1. I've added the eq under FX2. This can simply be toggled on or off as desired. I did this because I found that I had mixed results between various Les Pauls. The eq does add a bit of color and on some and isn't needed on others. Adjust to your liking and delete it if you find it not to your liking of course. There are no audio samples to accompany this, as I would only embarrass myself. ;-) |

Pickup Position: Bridge
Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: No Artist: Mick Thompson Comments: This is a model of one of the best amps for metal, the Rivera Knucklehead KR-7 which is basically a Knucklehead Tre with a bit of tuning by Mick Thompson. I tuned this in using an ESP LTD Viper 500 with EMG's (81 in the bridge). I referenced the tone from the Rivera Website of Mick Thompson playing the KR100 amp with his signature Ibanez with EMGs (81 in the bridge) I feel that its pretty spot on. AMP= M-2 Lead. FX2=Graphic EQ. Reverb= Studio Reverb, very small amount. 4X12 Classic 30 cab. DYN 7 Mic, OFF Axis. |

Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: No Artist: Mark Morton/ Lamb of God Comments: Here's a Preset modeled after the Mesa Boogie Mark IV. This Preset is modeled after the tone of Mark Morton from Lamb Of God, who uses the Mark IV. His tone is more mid range and present. To model this I used the guitar tracks from Lamb Of Gods new CD Wrath. If you have bought the Special edition, it comes with a CD of all the Stems from the Wrath recording session. That is what I used to dial this in to almost spot on, with slightly more bass for my own liking. For those who dont know LOG stands for Lamb Of God. |

Pickup Position: Bridge
Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: No Artist: Cannibal Corpse Comments: My take on the tone from Evisceration Plague by Cannibal Corpse. Compressor. Treadplate. EQ. Reverb. Its a good Death Metal tone. Though if used for recording I would down the bass and up the mids. |
