Ode to VSA Pickup Position: Bridge Pickup Type: Humbucker Requires Expansion Pack: Yes Artist: VaiSatchAtrucci Author: Mister_Riff Comments: This is my current favorite preset! It combines 2 of VSA's presets and a little bit that I made myself. The base of the song is the Amp, EQ and tubescreamer of the WhiteLionHungry preset which sounds absolutely amazing as it is ... I then added the chorus from the Edgerucci preset which gives some smoothness. I modified the reverb and then added a cool pong delay. Add the reverb and you have the lead tone of Loudness - Crazy Doctor. Add the chorus and up the delay mix a bit and you have a really smooth lead tone. For those crazy guys out there who like to have a boost: engage the fx loop (connect the sends and returns of the fxloop for this). Gear used: my Schecter C1 Blackjack with Seymour blackouts. TLTD - Shrapnelv2 Pickup Position: Neck Pickup Type: Humbucker Requires Expansion Pack: Yes Artist: Paul Gilbert Author: TLTD Comments: This was the original Shrapnel preset but I toned it down a lot for the final version based on how it sounded with a Peavey Wolfgang Special. If you have a Peavey Wolfgang or other similar sounding guitar, then try the first version. For everything else try this one. It has a different amp and settings but still sounds about the same as the example I recorded for the first one and I find it quite playable with a Schecter Diamond Gryphon, which has off brand Duncan Distortion pups. Lead 800 Deth Pickup Position: Middle/Bridge Pickup Type: Humbucker Requires Expansion Pack: Yes Artist: Death Author: Burkay Comments: I tried to make a clean but heavy thrash Mesa like metal rythm sound as a basic. I switch overdrive/distortion stompboxes in the FX loop to it for leads: Tube Screamer, Boss Turbo Overdrive (without the turbo) and Boss Metal Zone, to get various possibilities. It can be usefull for Death, Thrash and Speed Metal! Inspired by the usual suspects ;) have fun! I use a Ibanez S with Tone Zone Humbucker in bridge position, but also the other positions.
