Requires Expansion Pack: Yes Artist: Paul Gilbert/Racer X Comments: I adjusted the height of my pickups closer to the strings, so moved the compressor to the left and this is probably the best sound I have made with minimal effort on both the adjustment making it easier to shred and just changing one little thing on the preset. I think this will probably make this more of a compatible preset with all the higher output pickups out there as the Zebra in the Wolfgang relies on a presence boost rather than output and when I adjusted it I could imagine that my other presets weren't working for everyone with the overwound classic customs and active pickups out there. This is based on the first version of the preset (M2-Lead version), really feels like the compression is just right for sweeping and shredding around effortlessly and sounds the best if you are a pickup height tweaker. This one actually sounds usable with the Bridge pickup too... |
