Comments: Ok here's the preset from this YouTube video here:

Basically the way it is set up out of the box so to speak is just a basic clean amp setting with a small room reverb and compression. Sounds nice just at that alone but kick in the delay and distortion pedal (white-boost for a little bit of grit) switch your pickups to neck/middle position and you'll be in instant glorious "Where the Streets Have No Name" territory and this is where this preset REALLY shines!

Just change the delay setting to 570ms or so and you'll be in "Bad" city as it's essentially the same sound and delay type, just different delay tempo.

Kick in the chorus for an Andy Summers vibe.

Increase the gain on the white-boost dist pedal and get all sorts of great bridge tones and some Stevie Ray sweetness.

To get the more ethereal stuff - lower the delay mix or turn it off completely and just switch the reverb to a cathedral reverb and turn up the decay and mix and you'll be in "Solitude" territory.

That's about it but it's a great base preset to get whatever clean tones you're after and some really sweet gainier ones too!

As always tweak to taste and I hope you ENJOY! :-)

StrataVlead2

Pickup Position: Bridge Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: Yes
Artist: anybody

Comments: i was hearing some weird fizzy stuff (that is natural for a plexi) but it made me crazy, so i tweaked the eq to get rid of it while still retaining the natural tone of the preset.

Mesa Lonestar

Pickup Position: Middle/Bridge Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: Yes
Artist: Andy Timmons
Author: ptgold
Comments: I was trying to get as close as possible to Andy Timmons tone on the Resolution album using the Mark IIC+ model. Messed around with the Parametric EQ, Settings a bit different this time as I lowered the Pre and increased the Master. You can turn on the Boost for a bit more treble or off for a rounder tone. It sounds amazing in the middle position, play with the volume and tone to taste. Im using a Godwood bridge, Darkburst neck which are hot rodded vintage flavored humbuckers. A super versatile patch great for most anything really......Hope you like!

Sykes Whitesnake ST

Pickup Position: Bridge Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: Yes
Artist: John Sykes
Author: TLTD
Comments: AN offspring of the Tubes R US preset, the "U R Sykes" will get you that Sykes Whitesnake sound you've been wanting for great harmonics and shredding and still have the guts for meaty chords. I was really surprised at how the right mic/cab/OD made a lot of the sound and I just used a SL100 Clean with the preamp cranked, max'd out the speaker breakup, and EQ'd it to work just right. This is the first version, I think we can get the chorus and delay more like the album than this but it works great.

Limelight

Pickup Position: Bridge Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: Yes
Artist: Alex Lifeson of Rush
Author: mikefont
Comments: I was messing around with one of the original 11R rigs "Toronto Tone" to tweak it and try to get a better sound for playing Rush's "Limelight", and I think I am ALLOT happier with this new rig.

I am using an old Kramer guitar w/ Pearly Gates humbuckers (trying to stay close to the Super Strat that Alex used on 'Moving Pictures').

The rig is using the Treadplate Vintage amp with the Classic 30 cab (3.6 on the speaker breakup), Condenser 67 mic on axis, the White Boost pedal to kick in for solo's, Small Plate stereo reverb, and the original Graphic EQ setting that came on the 'Toronto Tone' rig.

I'm pretty happy with it, so give it a try and tweak it to your rig's needs!

Enjoy!
Mike
