Edgerucci Clean

Pickup Position: Middle Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: No
Artist: Dream Theater
Author: VaiSatchAtrucci
Comments: Ok so I was messing around with some clean sounds and finally got one I think that's going to be a great "all purpose" clean sound for my JP6.

I do a little one guitar track medley of songs here all using the same preset and the only difference being that the delay is not enabled anywhere but on the U2 portion which you'll obviously hear.

The thing I am finding with Dream Theater clean stuff is that it's not a clean sound you can achieve with the Mesa amp sims - or at least I have not been able to figure it out with my guitar anyway.

Anyhoo check it out and below is the sample mp3 and just FYI this was done with my JP6 (Dargie II) and with the MIDDLE position pickup throughout as it's really the only way to nail the Dream Theater clean tones but it works great and sounds strat-like enough to work for the U2 stuff. For the Kings X at the end I blended in the piezo with the middle position pickup for more of an acoustic vibe...

VHI-ish

Pickup Position: Bridge Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: No
Artist: Van Halen I
Author: Jimification
Comments: This is something like a punchy VHI boosted plexi sound. It's not exact at all but sounds reasonably close on my Les Paul with Burstbucker pros.

Hit FX2 for the Phaser and Mod for flanger. If you find the phaser too pronounced, just move it in front of the distortion.

It's set pretty loud for optimum rec level so look out if your other patches are quiet!

If you'd like to know what it sound like, you can hear a clip of it here: http://sites.google.com/site/jimificatio....redirects=0&d=1

Hope you enjoy it and have fun!

Trainwreckage

Pickup Position: Bridge Pickup Type: Humbucker
Requires Expansion Pack: No
Artist: Trainwreck Amp
Author: Jimification
Comments: This is my attempt at a Trainwreck style amp sound. I tried to cop something like Glen Kuykendall's tone (see his youtube vids with a Trainwreck Express)

I mostly use the '67 off axis mic but some of the other mics work well with this one too.

Hope you enjoy it.

Let's Get Numb

Pickup Position: Bridge Pickup Type: Single Coil
Requires Expansion Pack: No
Artist: David Gilmour
Author: Steemo
Comments: Here's a preset for the 1st solo in Pink Floyd's, Comfortably Numb.

Here's a link to the mp3 sample:
http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=9989823&q=hi

I'm using a Fender EC Strat.(boost is off) bridge p/u, into the Plexi (I went back and forth between the Plexi and SL 100 crunch, they both sound great). The Uni-Vibe and the chorus on the BBD Delay are in sync. with the song. The backing track is off the internet.
